Positive Discipline Parent Course

What are these courses?

At Casa, we believe that raising children is one of the most rewarding—and challenging—jobs there is. Every family experiences moments of connection, as well as moments of frustration, power struggles, and uncertainty. Positive Discipline offers practical tools to navigate these challenges while building strong, respectful relationships with your children.

Positive Discipline is an evidence-based approach to parenting, developed from the work of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs. It helps parents understand the reasons behind children’s behaviour and respond in ways that are both kind and firm. Rather than focusing on punishment or rewards, Positive Discipline teaches skills that foster cooperation, responsibility, confidence, and mutual respect.

We offer this parent course because we believe that children thrive when the adults around them share a common understanding of respectful communication, healthy boundaries, and problem-solving. By supporting parents and caregivers, we strengthen the entire community around the child.

During six interactive sessions, we explore key Positive Discipline concepts through discussions, activities, and real-life parenting examples. Topics include understanding behaviour, encouraging cooperation, setting limits respectfully, managing conflict, developing emotional regulation, and building family routines and problem-solving skills.

The course is offered in either a morning or evening format, spread across six sessions. Whether you are parenting toddlers, school-aged children, or teenagers, the course provides practical insights and strategies that can be applied immediately at home.

Join us to connect with other parents, share experiences, and discover new ways to create a more peaceful and connected family life.
