Supervisory Board

The Casa School and Casa Daycare Foundations are run by its Supervisory Board, which at this moment consists of four people. The Board is set up to be fully compliant with the “Code Goed Bestuur”.

The director-manager, together with three supervisory board members, forms the board (One-Tier model). Casa is managed by a director/manager who is part of the management team together with teamleaders. At Casa, there are four team leaders; one for the team 0 to 3 year olds, one for the 3 to 6 year olds, one for the lower and upper elementary and one for the kitchen team. The supporting departments (support) are managed by the director-manager.

Child Center Council

A Child Centre Council (or in Dutch “KCR”, Kind Centrum Raad) in which parents of children from day care, school and staff have a seat is a format that does justice to this philosophy of Casa.

But there is also a practical component to why Casa works with a KCR. Many policies and decisions affect both Casa’s childcare and its school. It was therefore decided that the various participation bodies should work together in a KCR. This is organised as follows.

The KCR has ten members, divided into four sections. These are autonomous sections, each with its own powers. Parents in the Childcare Parents’ Committee are elected exclusively by parents whose child or children are placed at Casa’s childcare facilities.

This is guaranteed in the KCR Regulations, article 3, paragraph C.
‘two members are elected by and from the parents of children at Casa Opvang, as the OC referred to in the WKO;’

The ranks are divided as follows:

2 parents as parents’ delegation childcare;
3 parents as parents’ section school;
2 staff members as childcare staff members;
3 staff members as school staff members.
